E-Commerce Category Manager

The eCommerce Category Manager will be responsible for growing and expanding our current catalog for the SWCORP Brands. This role will partner directly with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to help identify opportunities in the marketplace by using gap analysis, product and category research, and competitive analysis to maximize sales conversion. In addition to evaluating current catalog health, the Category Manager will also work with Sales and Marketing to identify product assortment needs. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for several vendor partners and focus on managing the business relationship, including improving business terms to drive sales and margin improvements. An excellent understanding of eCommerce business concepts, practices, and procedures is MUST. An excellent eCommerce Category Manager must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs in a Soft or Durable Goods industry. The goal is to increase the sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
  • Build relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
  • Partner with Supply Chain to place appropriate orders to ensure product availability
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
  • Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
  • Assume responsibility for budget development and revenue for the category

 

Requirements:

 

  • ERP software experience required
  • Knowledge of Amazon and other Big Box E-commerce retailer business processes and tools. Home Improvement Big Box preferred.
  • Experience sourcing new products from China.
  • Soft or Durable goods experience. Home Improvement Preferred.
  • Strong Analytical skills in pricing strategies for product and margin
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven experience as a category manager or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Excellent communication and people skills

 

Education and Training:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of e-commerce and category management experience.
  • Desired systems experience includes retailer vendor portals, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems

Inside Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales division at SWCORP will be focused revenue generation, while insuring to deliver premium service. You will be fostering a sales culture where product quality and service excellence will allow you to acquire new customers, cross/upsell to existing, and increase loyalty through repeat business.  As a Brand advocate you will also be required to maintain accurate customer records of all contacts, including but not limited to closed sales, follow ups or general inquiries.  As of our first point of customer engagement, you must continually find ways of leveraging each contact by upselling out of warranty parts and cross selling companion products, all while building brand/product awareness.

DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage high volume of contacts in a timely manner high quality of services and performance standards
  • Upsell, cross sell and work towards high conversions; consistently following up on sales opportunities parts and or warranty related
  • Disposition no less than 95% of all contacts received new and or existing into the CRM

Account Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Manager at SWCORP will be focused on fostering and maintaining strong relationships of key accounts. You will act as the primary point of contact for your accounts working towards building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with your contacts, always striving to find the products which best fit the needs of the clients. eCommerce Analyst – Multi-channel Home Goods Retailer

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides web analytic support for ecommerce and intranet sites. The Ecommerce Analyst is responsible for all aspects of our internet testing analytics effort, processing all data for analysis using measurement models, developing new performance measurement reports and models. Manufacturing Production Manager

Summary

Responsible for the results of all operations within a specified area of the plant. Maintain a safe environment by ensuring all safety regulations and rules are followed. Plan for and ensure the availability of the necessary resources required to operate all production operations in area. Monitor all production operations for required throughput levels and maximum effectiveness, and initiate corrective actions when standards are not met. Develop and execute programs and actions to maintain a highly-trained and motivated supervisory staff and hourly workforce. Responsibilities

  • Direct the efforts of shift supervisors/team leaders and hourly workforce to meet daily production requirements

Distribution/ Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Manage the daily activities of Warehouse operations including general receipts, put-away, order processing, pick, pack, and shipping. S/he will be the leader on a core team that is responsible for driving process improvements and cubing out current warehouse footprint.  This is a fast-paced environment, often dealing with same day shipping expectations in an eCommerce environment. S/he must be accustomed to a metric driven leadership style and prepared to hit the ground running. There is high expectations for accountability and must deliver on immediate inventory controls (capacity planning, adjustments analysis, inventory turns, slow/no move analysis, etc.).

DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the warehouse ensuring the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through a warehouse
  • Manages the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of merchandise or materials. Maintains stock records and schedules
  • Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory/product profile
  • Coordinates and manages physical cycle counts (daily, weekly, monthly, annually). Trains and manages an inventory team.
  • Records retention ~records of shipments, receipts, any inventory transactions, and/or adjustments

 COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Forklift operations
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) ~software or knowledge of basic WMS process or Material Flow in a distribution environment
  • MS Office suite (Outlook & Excel)
  • Certificate of License as Forklift operator
  • 5-7 years in hands-on Warehouse environment, with 3+ years in a leadership role with multiple direct reports
  • Experience in operating multiple Distribution facilities (DC) with satellite inventory control/management
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining OSHA standards
  • Background or exposure in performance management and formal disciplinary actions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Buyer/Planner

 POSITION SUMMARY

The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for planning and buying across multiple categories that support both domestic manufacturing and import categories.  This individual will be a key contributor on the Purchasing and Inventory control team, working closely with Manufacturing Planning, Sales & Marketing and Service team members.  In addition to ensuring supply continuity, this position will be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and implementing strategies for correction.

DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the analysis and review of demand data to support purchasing and planning decisions both short and long term to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Maintain database of SKUS and BOMs
  • Update location of inventory in perpetual inventory system
  • Provide accurate and current data for Purchasing decision making
  • Place purchases for manufacturing and MRO materials
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality and delivery speed
  • Analyze and evaluate historic usage and spend data and develop logical sourcing strategies and fact-based options

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
